Committed to empowering the new generation of young scientists through our passion of science!
Our mission
New Gen Scientists strives to provide all youth with an educational, fun, and cooperative hands-on experience with science. We accomplish this by hosting science workshops where we conduct interactive experiments in topics ranging from biology to chemistry, as well as by creating STEAM kits for under-resourced communities. Our ultimate goal is to foster passion and increase awareness in this ever-increasing field!
Science Workshops
We host weekly Science Sunday sessions to bring hands-on science experiments to children in our local community. Our lesson plans, which are carefully designed and tested, are reviewed by professionals with years of experience in science education.
STEAM Kits
ALL of our profits from fundraising and hosting STEM workshops go into creating STEAM kits (science experiments, engineering projects, arts and crafts, etc) to be distributed to organizations that support under-resourced and under-represented students.
Educational Videos
We create educational STEM-related videos that teach interesting science, computer science, engineering, and math concepts in short and simple snippets. Kids can watch these videos in their own time to explore deeper into these topics.
Our Philosophy
At New Gen Scientists, we believe that children are the very essence of the future. Who they are tomorrow is essentially the outcome of what they learn today. As a student-run organization, we create an open environment where young minds can get early exposure to the wonders of science, which increases their success in STEM subjects, develops comprehension skills, and inspires confidence. We hold respect, empathy, and integrity close to our hearts - and make an effort to instill these values into the minds of our community’s youth.
